She herself hails from Avon, Indiana, where she played trombone and euphonium in the Marching Black and Gold, Wind Ensemble, and various other musical groups throughout her high school career. She credits these activities more than any others for teaching her valuable life lessons in teamwork, discipline, and hard work. Emily went on to Indiana University to get her Bachelor\u2019s degree in International Studies and East Asian Languages and Cultures, with an internship in South Korea that cemented her desire to travel to many distant places and encounter other people and cultures. She has now been to England, France, Ireland, Italy, Scotland, and South Korea, and hopes to see many more. Emily has experienced firsthand the extreme dedication and hard work that students, staff, and supporters put into their programs each year, the order and organization required to get the band to its shows\\\/concerts with everything they need, and the great satisfaction that comes from a job well done with everyone\u2019s help. She herself hails from Avon, Indiana, where she played trombone and euphonium in the Marching Black and Gold, Wind Ensemble, and various other musical groups throughout her high school career. She credits these activities more than any others for teaching her valuable life lessons in teamwork, discipline, and hard work. Emily went on to Indiana University to get her Bachelor\u2019s degree in International Studies and East Asian Languages and Cultures, with an internship in South Korea that cemented her desire to travel to many distant places and encounter other people and cultures. She has now been to England, France, Ireland, Italy, Scotland, and South Korea, and hopes to see many more. Emily has experienced firsthand the extreme dedication and hard work that students, staff, and supporters put into their programs each year, the order and organization required to get the band to its shows\/concerts with everything they need, and the great satisfaction that comes from a job well done with everyone\u2019s help.
