You are officially invited to participate in the Fall MTC Marching for Youth Challenge!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Marching for Youth<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Who:<\/strong> MTC staff, tour directors, volunteers, friends, family, & anyone who loves band and travel!<\/p>\n

What:<\/strong> A step challenge to benefit the SYTA Youth Foundation<\/a><\/p>\n

Where:<\/strong> Wherever you are!<\/p>\n

When:<\/strong> Monday, September 30th \u2013 Sunday, November 10th<\/p>\n

How Much:<\/strong> $30 per participant<\/p>\n

\n

Details:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Here\u2019s how the challenge will work:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. The Challenge runs throughout the Fall Marching Band Season. Once all participants have reported their steps, half of the total amount raised will be donated to the SYTA Youth Foundation. The top 3 steppers will split the other half of the total (1st place \u2013 30%, 2nd place \u2013 15%, 3rd place \u2013 5%).<\/li>\n
  2. To join: Please send $30 to Vicky Wielosinski via PayPal<\/a> (vewielos@gmail.com<\/a>), Venmo<\/a> (@Victoria-Wielosinski), CashApp<\/a> ($vewielos) or an alternately arranged method. Payments must be received no later than Sunday, October 13th.<\/li>\n
  3. If you\u2019re on Facebook – Join the Facebook Group<\/a>, Marching for Youth – A step challenge to benefit the SYTA Youth Foundation, to follow along and report back! (https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/groups\/306587053265254\/<\/a>)<\/li>\n
  4. Your previous week\u2019s steps total must be reported on the Facebook Group every Monday. You will see if you need to \u201cstep it up!\u201d Final step totals must be reported on Monday, November 11th. Steps may be counted via the step tracker of your choice and a screenshot or other photo of the week\u2019s total should be posted. (If you are NOT on Facebook, you can text screenshots\/photos to Vicky at 317.384.4499<\/a>)<\/li>\n
  5. Have fun and let\u2019s get marchin\u2019!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    We will have a special Grand Nationals Week step challenge, from Monday, November 11 through Sunday, November 17th<\/sup>. More info about that challenge will come at a later date.<\/p>\n

Indiana native Vicky Wielosinski fell in love with Color Guard in high school and performed in college years with several competitive units, including the Bluecoats and the Glassmen drum and bugle corps, the Zydeco Color Guard and the Pride of Cincinnati. Having taught color guard at several schools, she has choreographed for Rhythm in Blue, a Bluecoats Alumni Project. Vicky\u2019s other loves \u2013 travel, adventure and the great outdoors \u2013 have led her to guide on a zip line, driving a campus bus at Indiana University, and intrepidly tour directing for Music Travel for the past seven years. Drum Corps experience taught her how to travel with performing groups and her strong communications skills, solid judgment, knowledge, leadership, and attention to detail made her stand out as a tour director and kept her on the road for weeks at a time, every year. In her spare time, she serves as Administrative Director for Indianapolis-based Legacy Performing Arts Color Guard, a 2016 WGI A Class Finalist, and a 2017 and 2018 Open Class Finalist. Indiana native Vicky Wielosinski fell in love with Color Guard in high school and performed in college years with several competitive units, including the Bluecoats and the Glassmen drum and bugle corps, the Zydeco Color Guard and the Pride of Cincinnati. Having taught color guard at several schools, she has choreographed for Rhythm in Blue, a Bluecoats Alumni Project. Vicky\u2019s other loves \u2013 travel, adventure and the great outdoors \u2013 have led her to guide on a zip line, driving a campus bus at Indiana University, and intrepidly tour directing for Music Travel for the past seven years. Drum Corps experience taught her how to travel with performing groups and her strong communications skills, solid judgment, knowledge, leadership, and attention to detail made her stand out as a tour director and kept her on the road for weeks at a time, every year. In her spare time, she serves as Administrative Director for Indianapolis-based Legacy Performing Arts Color Guard, a 2016 WGI A Class Finalist, and a 2017 and 2018 Open Class Finalist.
