Michael Gray and Andrew Moran Take on New Roles at MTC

Music Travel Consultants is excited to announce two staff promotions. Michael Gray and Andrew Moran have accepted new challenges on the MTC leadership team. Read below how Gray and Moran will be impacting the company.



Michael Gray joined the MTC team in 2009 as a Travel Designer. In 2016, he took on the role of Director of Sales and has been instrumental in achieving the sales goals he set for the company. Gray has been promoted to Vice President of Business Development and will begin his new role full-time this summer.

Michael will look both inside and outside the company for new ideas while optimizing current business practices. President and CEO of MTC, Mark Harting said, “It will be exciting to watch Michael utilize his talents and energy in this new role.” Michael was the first non-musician to be hired to the sales team at MTC where he immediately proved that the process, not musical experience, makes a designer successful at Music Travel. His commitment to the highest customer service and user experience are second to none in the industry.

He soon took over as the Director of Sales and led his team to the unprecedented volume levels that we are experiencing today. Gray shouldered the lion’s share of emails and voicemails during the pandemic, never giving up hope and providing constant support and positivity to his team during those trying months. The Music Travel Consultants ownership is beyond grateful for his service and passion for the company. Congratulations Michael on this well-deserved promotion.



Andrew Moran grew up in band, still teaches band and spends many days working on band trips since 2014. Moran has been promoted to Director of Sales and will begin the transition into that role immediately.

Andrew’s first role at MTC was leading groups as a young Tour Director. He became an instant favorite and his passion was not only obvious to the travelers he led but to everyone in the MTC office. “On a Spring Saturday in May right after his college graduation at a Johnny Rockets Restaurant in Six Flags St. Louis, he informed me that he wanted to have a career in the student travel industry at MTC,” said Mark Harting, President and CEO. Soon after, Moran began his full-time career at MTC in the Operations Department.

When the next sales position opened, he was a natural to transition to the sales team where he has flourished in both sales volume and client satisfaction. It is the attention to detail that keeps his clients coming back and singing his praises. Ownership is excited to watch Andrew lead the Design Team in the next chapter at MTC.
