Lyndee Moran Brings Empathy to Multiple Roles

Keeping the MTC Family of Brands running smoothly sometimes takes wild turns. Lyndee Moran has been making those turns for over seven years.

It was the day after Christmas. Lyndee and her boyfriend Andrew were in Texas visiting her sister’s family for the holidays. Little did she know that her parents were also in the area waiting for Andrew to propose. The proposal and engagement went off without a hitch however, what happened in the coming days made for an increasingly stressful time. “Imagine getting engaged to your boyfriend, who’s also a colleague, only for Southwest [Airlines] to start canceling all flights – including one for a Music Travel Consultants group heading to the Rose Parade. It was such a blur! The day after our engagement quickly turned into conference calls on how to get that group to Pasadena,” Lyndee said.

In the end, and with the help of a charter flight, all travelers arrived to march in the Tournament of Roses Parade.

Lyndee has worked in several roles in the company; 2018 – 2021 Finance Specialist, 2021 – 2023 Director of Finance and 2023 – present as the Director of Finance and Operations.

She attributes her success to staying organized and problem-solving on the fly. “There are always a million moving parts. Being able to think ahead, adapt and keep everything in order is what keeps things running smoothly,” she said. “At the same time, being an empathetic leader and supporting my team is just as important.”

Lyndee strives to be someone her team can count on — whether it’s answering questions, jumping in to help, or just making sure they feel valued and supported. The most rewarding part of her job is seeing everything come together.

”A lot of what I do happens behind the scenes, so when a trip runs smoothly and both the travelers and our team walk away feeling good about the experience, it makes all the hard work worth it,” said Moran. She also gets to share her work experience with her husband and parents. Andrew, her husband is the Senior Director of Sales and Travel Design, Mickey her father is a Travel Designer and Teri her mother is a Tour Director. Lyndee said, “It’s not always easy, but having them truly understand what I do every day — the wins, the chaos, all of it — makes it even more meaningful.”

“Knowing I played a part in making a smooth trip happen is really rewarding.”

Being in the travel business, staff members like to dream about favorite destinations. “Banff is definitely at the top of my travel list. The photos are absolutely stunning, and I can only imagine how incredible it would be to see it in person – it must be even more breathtaking up close,” she said.
