The Winter Guard International (WGI) is an American performing arts association, governing body, and the producer of regional championship events for three activities: color guard (known as winter guard), percussion ensembles, and small marching bands (known as winds). WGI's competitive season is January to March, ending with an annual World Championships in April; hence, "winter" in the association's name.

The The Indiana State Fair Band Day is a marching band competition held at the Indiana State Fair in Indianapolis every August. The contest serves as the championship for the Central Indiana Track Show Association, an organization that governs marching band contests in Indiana during the Summer. First held in 1947 it is one of, if not, the oldest high school marching band contests in the United States.

The FMEA Professional Development Conference is one of the largest music education professional development events in the United States. In addition to approximately 250 clinic sessions and concerts, it is host to 23 All-State Ensembles featuring Florida's top Band, Orchestra, Chorus, Guitar, Orff, and Popular Music students conducted by world-class conductors and teachers. It is attended by more than 10,000 people, including secondary music directors, elementary music teachers, music supervisors, college students, college music teachers, school administrators, K-12 students performing in the All-State ensembles, students and professional musicians performing with invited performing ensembles, exhibitors, and parents and family members of performing students.

The Indiana Music Education Association Professional Development Conference The IMEA Professional Development Conference is the largest, most diverse professional development event for Indiana music educators. Welcoming music teachers of all levels and classrooms, this three-day conference contains over 100 sessions and meetings with close to 100 clinicians. The IMEA is a not-for-profit professional membership organization serving music teachers of all primary, secondary and tertiary levels. Their membership is currently comprised of about 1100 active teachers, 100 retired members, and 700 collegiate members who are music education majors. As the federated state unit of NAfME, IMEA’s purpose is to support and advance music education in the state of Indiana; they do this by representing the united interests of music educators and students and by providing professional leadership and service in music education to enhance arts education in schools.

Music Travel Consultants will be at the Ohio Music Education Association.

The Ohio Music Education Association Professional Development Conference is the third largest music conference in the United States with nearly 300 sessions presented by nationally recognized master teachers demonstrating research-based, best practices in the field of music education. In addition, over 30 performing ensembles will present concerts showcasing the talents of Ohio's students. The OMEA PDC partners with the Technology Institute for Music Education to provide every teacher in attendance with access to clinics and demonstrations of the latest music education technology. Included in the registration fee is access to the largest music trade show east of the Mississippi. Displays and demonstrations by nearly 250 exhibitors from across the United States allow teachers to see the new products available in the music industry. With a few additional steps, teachers may use their conference experience to earn CEU's (nominal additional registration expense) and graduate level continuing education credit (additional expense) for their licensure requirements.
