Spring Symphonies Performance Travel

A Little History

The Spring Symphonies festival was established by Fiestalonia, an organization dedicated to creating high-quality international music festivals and competitions that promote artistic excellence and cultural collaboration. With more than 20 years of experience organizing global events and welcoming contestants from over 60 countries, Fiestalonia has built a reputation for producing professionally organized festivals that embody the best traditions of international cultural exchange. Hosted in Lloret de Mar, a vibrant coastal destination near Barcelona, the Spring Symphonies program reflects Fiestalonia’s commitment to innovation, excellence, and providing performers with emotionally meaningful and professionally rewarding international performance opportunities.

Educational Benefits

Student choirs participating in Spring Symphonies performance travel gain significant educational benefits through workshops, master classes, rehearsals, and performances led by internationally recognized music professionals. These educational programs allow students to improve vocal technique, musicianship, ensemble coordination, and artistic expression while receiving valuable feedback from expert jurors. Participants also engage in joint rehearsals, friendship concerts, and collaborative activities that encourage communication, creativity, and cultural exchange with performers from around the world. These experiences help students develop confidence, deepen their understanding of music, and elevate their overall artistic level while creating lifelong memories and meaningful connections through international performance travel.

“Spain is an overflow of sombreness . . . a strong and threatening tide of history meets you at the frontier.”

— Wyndham Lewis

After France, Spain is the second-largest country in terms of land area in Europe. Its culture and language have spread throughout the world, thanks to its kings, explorers, soldiers and sailors. The music of Spain has played an important role in the evolution of Western music and has greatly impacted Latin American music. Spanish music is often correlated with traditional styles such as flamenco and classical guitar. The breadth of musical discovery can be seen in composers like Tomás Luis de Victoria, techniques like the Zarzuela of Spanish opera, the ballet of Manuel de Falla and the classical guitar music of Francisco Tárrega. Makes plans today for historic and magical performance opportunities of Spain.
